Account Deletion

This page explains how to permanently delete your Flompt account and the data associated with it. You can delete your account directly in the app, or request deletion by email if you no longer have access to the app.

1. Delete Your Account in the App

The fastest way to delete your account:

  • Open the Flompt app on your device
  • Go to your Profile tab (bottom right)
  • Tap the Settings icon (gear icon in the top right)
  • Scroll down to the 'Danger Zone' section
  • Tap 'Delete Account'
  • Confirm your decision by entering your password

Your account is deactivated immediately and enters a 30-day grace period during which you can restore it by logging back in. After 30 days, your account and data, including media files in our storage, are permanently and irreversibly deleted.

2. Request Deletion Without the App

If you cannot access the app or no longer have it installed, you can request deletion by email:

  • Send an email to [email protected] from the email address registered to your Flompt account
  • Use the subject line 'Account Deletion Request'
  • Include your Flompt username so we can locate the account

We verify that the request comes from the registered email address before deleting anything. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days, and the same 30-day grace period and permanent deletion described above apply.

3. What Gets Deleted

When the deletion becomes permanent, the following data is removed:

  • Your profile information (username, email, bio, profile picture)
  • All prompts you have created and shared, including their media files in our storage
  • All comments and likes you have made
  • All messages and conversations
  • Your followers and following lists
  • All bookmarks and saved content

4. What May Be Retained Temporarily

Some data is kept for a limited time after your deletion request, as described in our Privacy Policy:

  • Account data is retained for 30 days after the deletion request so the account can be recovered if you change your mind
  • Backup copies are purged within 30 days of account deletion
  • Log data and analytics are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes
  • Records we are legally required to keep (for example moderation or legal compliance records) are retained only as long as the law requires
