Cookie Policy

Flompt is primarily a mobile application; the website at flompt.app is a marketing surface. This page describes the cookies and similar local-storage technologies we use on flompt.app and in the app, in line with the EU ePrivacy rules and the Turkish Data Protection Authority's Guideline on Cookie Applications (Çerez Uygulamaları Hakkında Rehber). It is a separate notice from the Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB. We use these to remember your preferences and to keep you signed in.
2. Categories we use
On flompt.app we store the following; the mobile app is described in section 3:
- Strictly necessary: NEXT_LOCALE (cookie, written only when you switch language, deleted when you close the browser) remembers your language; flompt.cookieConsent.v1 (localStorage, kept until you clear it) records your cookie choice; flompt-intro-played (sessionStorage, deleted when the tab closes) stops the intro animation replaying. These cannot be switched off because the site does not work correctly without them.
- Functional: none on flompt.app at the moment; the site has no theme switch or accounts.
- Analytics (only after you accept): PostHog (PostHog, Inc.; EU region, Frankfurt) records page views, clicks and scrolling (autocapture) and when you leave a page, using the ph_*_posthog cookie and localStorage entry (12 months) and a per-tab session id in sessionStorage. Your IP address is processed to derive country-level location. Pages that carry one-time links (password reset, invites) are scrubbed before anything is sent. If you turn analytics off later, measurement stops and these entries are deleted.
- Marketing: not used on flompt.app.
3. Third-party cookies
flompt.app embeds no third-party advertising trackers. PostHog is the only third-party service on the website and runs only after you accept analytics. The mobile app uses: Google AdMob (advertising; personalised only with your consent through App Tracking Transparency on iOS or the consent form on Android, otherwise non-personalised), Firebase Cloud Messaging and Expo for push notifications, PostHog for product analytics (while signed in only with your Analytics consent; before sign-in only if you turn it on in the app's privacy screen), Sentry for crash reports and RevenueCat for purchases. We will update this page if a third-party tracker is added.
4. Your control
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: use the "Cookie settings" button on this page or in the footer of every page. Your new choice replaces the previous one immediately; as soon as you turn analytics off, measurement on this device stops and its cookies are deleted. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings. In the mobile app, manage analytics and marketing consent under Settings > Data & ML Consent.
Refusing non-essential cookies does not limit the site in any way.
